About Chris Cockrell
Chris Cockrell grew up in rural Ocean Springs Mississippi and understands that the best way to preserve open space is for county government to implement policies that support family farms, ranches, orchards and vineyards instead of mandating small urban parks in cookie cutter housing developments. Chris and his wife Lina, who grew up in El Dorado County, chose to make their home and raise their family here because of our unique foothill lifestyle. Following his early career in the insurance industry, Chris Cockrell opened Sam’s Town Cyclery in 2015 where he has promoted outdoor recreation and helped sponsor numerous community events. Chris Cockrell is proud of his service on the El Dorado County Veterans Affairs Commission and the United States Army where he earned an Army Expeditionary Medal and Army Commendation Medal during Operation Just Cause which liberated Panama from the sadistic socialist dictator Manuel Noriega. Chris Cockrell has served actively to support his community and the County.
A trusted voice for family businesses, Chris Cockrell is seeking to represent you on our County Board of Supervisors to better fix our individual problems with government agencies and effectively advance policies that will make our County a better place to live, work, and raise our families.
